A NZ Fishing World follower asks us "What's that fish". We ask the community.

Teina asks us to identify this usual catch. So we asked the community for feedback.

The conclusion is that it is a juvenile lamprey, kanakana in the South Island and piharau in the North Island.

It was caught near the Port Waikato river mouth in a whitebait scoop.
