Protecting our paradise preserves the experience

Auckland boatie David Yeong shares his love of fishing and why NZ's incredible waters are worth protecting.

David Yeong has been fishing since he was six years old. These days, he's traded the jet ski for a fully kitted-out boat - but for him, it's never been about the gear. It's about unplugging, sharing kai with mates, and introducing the next generation to our incredible waters.

Auckland boaties like David know we're lucky to have what we have. That's why protecting our marine paradise matters - keeping hulls clean, checking anchors, motors and gear, and doing our bit to stop the spread of invasive pests.
